2014 RAM 1500 LARAMIE CREW CAB-Safety
Many people buy trucks because they are heavy duty, bigger, safer and many other reasons. Well, Ram has gone above and beyond the normal safety brinks and put in more! Front tow hooks, which are normally used for towing, obviously, fold under frontal impact and “rinkle” allowing for more force to be absorbed by the truck rather than person. The hooks are attached to the steel frame of the truck allowing for more support. Airbags are also a plus. So you have the normal driver and passenger front airbags, but also airbags on the side of the seats! Even more, the doors have a window airbag. 2014 Jeep Cherokee- Active Jeep Drive 1 or 2?
Jeep Active Drive I—available on Sport, Latitude, and Limited models—is a fully automatic, single power-takeoff unit system said to improve both under and oversteer conditions, deliver yaw control, and offer balanced torque distribution via the braking system. Jeep Active Drive II is also available on Sport, Latitude, and Limited models, and offers a two-speed PTU with low range. Selecting 4-Low mode locks the front and rear driveshafts and provides a 2.92:1 gear reduction for maximum torque and pulling power. When teamed with the four-cylinder engine, Active Drive II provides a 56:1 crawl ratio; the crawl ratio with the V-6 is 47.8:1. This system also pulls off the brake-based torque-apportioning trick. The third system, Jeep Active Jeep Drive Lock, is standard on the Trailhawk, and adds a locking rear differential to all of the Active Drive II features for better low-speed traction.
2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited-Wireless Charging Pad
So as many of you know, Jeep reintroduced the Cherokee for 2014 instead of the Liberty! One of the cool features that comes in the Cherokee Limited is the wireless charging pad by Qi (pronounced chee)!! So if you have a compatible phone, you can simply place your phone on to the charging pad, move the two bracing devices so the phone doesn’t move and simply let it charge! 2013 DODGE DART SXT/RALLYE- Safety
The new Dodge Dart is simply one of a kind! Especially when it comes to safety and its passengers! The class leader in safety, Dodge‘s Dart has many options you should know about! Made with advanced high-strength, hot-stamped steels, Dodge offers an incredibly stiff structure and safety cage! With 10 standard airbags, reactive head restraints, this car can also come with options such as Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection!! With the Electronic Vehicle Information Center, the driver is allowed the convenience of focusing solely on the road ahead. Keyless Enter ‘n Go, allows for quick access into the vehicle as long as the key fob is on your person. Simply touch the door handle sensor and it will unlock! Rain Sensing Wipers allow the driver to stay focused, not lifting a finger for the wiper switch, it monitors moisture on the windshield and adjusts accordingly. 2014 RAM 2500 TRADESMAN CREW CAB-Style
Yesterday we discussed the Ram 2500 SLT Crew Cab, today we have the Ram 2500 Tradesman Crew Cab! Much like the SLT, this Tradesman has crew cab doors and a mid box bed (6’4″). So this truck still has plenty of rear passenger leg room and also allows for the back seats to fold down. There are many differences though. The tradesman comes with less features but offers a little more durability! Out of all the Ram 2500’s the Tradesman has the highest towing capacity with 17,900 lbs. 2014 RAM 2500 SLT CREW CAB- Body Style
Here is the Ram Truck 2500 series. There are many editions of this truck! This one is the 2500 SLT Crew Cab. So here we have 4 doors and a 6’4″ bed! This truck can come with many features. Rear park assist/camera, navigation, Uconnect 8.4″ touch media center and many more features. For a list check out ramtrucks.com. 2013 RAM 1500 TRADESMAN/EXPRESS REGULAR CAB-Body Styles
Last week I discussed the body styles of the Ram 1500, today I will finish up the 1500 series and move on to the 2500’s. The most known body style is the regular cab style. This is a two door truck and can hold up to 3 passengers! The bed length is 6’4″, so the mid box. It also comes with a long box (bed) which is 8′ in length. Both bed lengths offer the same interior volume! According to Ramtrucks.com “The Long Box gives owners the option to haul more without sacrificing cab volume or comfort. It offers more forward cab room than all other trucks in the Ram 2014 1500 lineup.” Great news for those who are interested in the regular cab/long box combo! 2014 RAM 1500 TRADESMAN/EXPRESS QUAD CAB- Styles
So this is the 2014 Ram 1400 Tradesman/Express Quad Cab. Much like the crew cab, this truck has four doors. The biggest difference being the size. You will notice that unlike that crew cab, the doors on the quad cab are smaller than the driver and front passenger doors. However, the quad cab features reversed hinged doors allowing for a wider opening when loading and unloading cargo! Definitely a plus for the quad cab style! Leg room in this style is a little under 6 inches shorter than that of the crew cab. This cab still seats up to 6 passenger just like the crew cab, so if you are fine with this minor restriction of the quad cab, then these are the trucks for you! 2014 RAM 1500 SLT CREW CAB at Woody’s Automotive Group-Types
Ram Trucks come in many different shapes and styles! I will be going over them the next few days just to make drivers familiar with each kind and see which they like best. Today is the Ram 1500 Crew Cab! Crew Cabs can easily be confused with the Quad Cabs but there is a difference which sometimes goes unnoticed. The most noticeable difference is the rear door. On the Crew Cab the rear door is very simliar in size to the driver and passenger doors. This allows for extra leg room, unlike the Quad Cab where the leg room is about 6 inches shorter. It doesn’t sound like a big difference but when you are the back seat, it is. The next difference in the 1500’s is the bed. This happens to be the short box (short bed). There is the Short Box, Mid Box and Long Box. Since this is the short box, it is 5’7″ long! The Crew Cab gives passengers increased comfort and capacity, with the most passenger legroom in the Ram lineup. It’s a great option when you’re hauling your guys and your gear to any job site.
