Getting That 1st Place!!

Car and Driver recently came out with their 2015 Editors Choices for top vehicles! Guess what?! The Jeep Grand Cherokee took 1st place for mid-sized crossovers and SUVS!! The Grand Cherokee excels at climbing mountains and social circles.

The All New 2015 Jeep Renegade!

So I was pretty excited to read that Jeep was coming out with another new SUV! I may have been a little uneasy with the Renegade at first but after reading about it and looking at some things, I have realized its going to be great! So to begin, the Renegade will becoming out in four different models:Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk!

All models are comparable to the Jeep Cherokee! Same painting scheme on the trailhawk with the same red tow hooks! The Trailhawk will have the class exclusive Jeep Active Drive Low 4X4 System! As well as the Tigershark engine, and the class-exclusive 9 speed automatic transmission! The interior will feature great quality leather, options to help any off-roading situation and cool accent colors! Both Jeeps will have the options for the MySky Open-Air Dual Panoramic Sunroof! Several cool things about this! So its panoramic, the first panel does auto tilt and open!

The Safety of Back Up Cameras!!

In April 2014 the NHTSA enacted the backup camera mandate. By 2054 when all vehicles will have backup cameras, it is estimated that 58+ lives will be saved every year. Some new vehicles have some very cool safety features. Let’s look at the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado as an example:

1. The rear vision camera system has dynamic guide lines to allow the driver, when in reverse, to view objects directly behind the vehicle.

2. The safety alert driver seat warns the driver of potential traffic danger using directional vibration pulses from the seat cushion.

3. Lane departure warning alerts the driver when the truck drifts over a lane line when traveling at least 35 MPH.

Fun in the Sun! Cherokee Style!

Hey all you Jeep fans! It’s that time again. Time to talk about the sweet world of Jeeps. You know, the one where life is enjoyable on the road, but mostly off the road! The new redesigned and extremely rewelcomed 2014 Jeep Cherokee blew me away! I must say, I was not expecting it. I mean when I heard that Jeep was bring back the Cherokee, I thought to myself, ” O great, here we go again. They are gonna bring back yet another boxy SUV with the same technology, same safety features, same everything and ask the same price. Boring.” Boy was I wrong.

 When I first sat in this rugged, yet refined SUV, I was pleasently surprised! 8.4″ touchscreen, check. 4X4, check. Leather heated seats and steering, check. Panoramic sunroof, check. Then I really started to explore. 4 iPod ports. Who even needs that many?! A wireless charging pad, genious!  Literally, because I have filled all 4 of those iPod ports and was in a pickle when my phone died. Problem fixed! Dashboard storage was so handy as well as the inside passenger seat storage!  Lets talk exterior and engine for a sec! 9 speed automatic transmission offers an impressive 31 hwy mpg! The amazing Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist makes my life so much easier, because lets face it, I suck at parking. So thank you Jeep for that. I don’t know about you but rock crawling sounds found and the Cherokee can come equipped with Jeep Active Drive II, perfect for that exact experience! So, I for one am very impressed with the new 2014 Jeep Cherokee and would definitely recommend this SUV to anyone in search of a new midsized Sports Utility Vehicle to go play in this summer! Jeep: The SUV of the Decade!

If you are into SUV’s, young or old, the top brands that come to mind are probably: Lexus, Acura, BMW and Jeep! I prefer the Jeep. The Renegade, coming soon from Jeep, will be pulling all the younger generations out of Kia’s Soul (in my opinion) and back on bored with the SUV powerhouse. Lets focus on the Overland for now though! The SUV that would be perfect to power through the wilderness or show up to a black-tie event in, the one SUV made for everyone! From the cubicle employee at an insurance company to the pent house rentee! Overland, while luxurious as it is, still offers that same Jeep feel and confidence. From the unmistakeable grill, square wheel wells, and tough look, the Overland will fulfill your SUV fantasies completely! Loaded with a mesmorizing panoramic sunroof, unconventional sound system, nappa leather seats, a sweet off-road package and some hidden safety features, you will think you are driving an Audi after all!
