Getting That 1st Place!!

Car and Driver recently came out with their 2015 Editors Choices for top vehicles! Guess what?! The Jeep Grand Cherokee took 1st place for mid-sized crossovers and SUVS!! The Grand Cherokee excels at climbing mountains and social circles.

2014 Jeep Grand cherokee

It offers a variety of powertrains: a 3.6-liter V-6, a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel, and the SRT variant’s 6.4-liter Hemi V-8. There’s also the choice of three 4×4 systems plus Quadra-Lift air suspension with five height settings. Comfortable interiors are trimmed with high-quality materials and offer upscale options. Buyers can step into a four-wheel-drive, V-6 Grand Cherokee for as little as $31,790 in entry-level Laredo trim. Jeep offers the Limited and the more luxurious, Summit, trim levels as well; the $47,190 Overland sits between those two.

The $1795 Advanced Technology Group, which brings adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning and mitigation, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-path detection! Pair that with the ample space in the Jeeps cabin, the panoramic sunroof and of course the worlds simplest yet most advanced media center, the Uconnect 8.4AN!

All of this is available at Woody’s Automotive Group! We have the Jeeps, we have the technology, we have it all!

Chrysler 200 Proves Its Worth

The 200 comes in four trim levels. The LX is the options-light entry-level package, starting at $21,700. The Limited trim clocks in at a starting price of $23,255. The S — what we drove — is Chrysler’s sports-sedan trim. At $24,495, the car comes with leather-trimmed sport seats, a tighter, sports-tuned suspension, 18-inch rims, paddle-shifters, and dark-finished interior and exterior accents. More on all that later. The top-of-the-line 200C starts at $25,995, though if you feel like treating yourself, a checklist full of options can push the car well north of $36,000.

Mopar-Modified-2015-Chrysler-200

All 200s come standard with a 184-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and Chrysler’s nine-speed automatic transmission. The 200S and 200C are available with Chrysler’s award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, which pumps out 295 horsepower. All-wheel drive is available in the 200S and 200C, albeit for an extra $4,200.

The styling of the 200 makes it an attractive car. Some have complained that it looks too much like something else; but if that something else is an Audi or Hyundai Genesis and not the old 200, it seems as if Chrysler’s doing something right.

And the 200 actually can be fun to drive. The V-6 has power-a-plenty and it works quite well with the nine-speed. So well, in fact, that the paddle shifters seem kind of pointless. Keep your expectations realistic, but putting the car in sport mode adds to the fun by changing up the throttle response andshift points and tightening the steering. The V-6 also sounds good, especially at higher revs.2015-Chrysler-200S-EXT-GIF-HEADER1

So now the 200 can stop pretending. It is in fact a highly competitive vehicle in the mid-sized sedan class!

The Technology in a Town & Country!

TnC-S_Brilliant-Black-Crystal-Pearl

So many people think a minivan is just a minivan! However, there is much more to it than meets the eye! So let’s start at the top and work our way down! Roof Racks!

Accommodate just about anything you might carry on your journey. The Stow N Place Roof Rack can transport up to 150 pounds of properly secured cargo. When not in use, fold the crossbars down into the side rails to help improve aerodynamics and decrease wind noise. Need to get inside? No Problem! Access the power sliding doors and power liftgate in one of three ways—with your remote keyless entry, the power door lock switch on the interior front door panels or the liftgate release handle.

The sun bright out? No worries! Working double-duty, deep-tinted sunscreen glass obscures the view of objects inside your vehicle from outsiders while it helps protect passengers from the sun’s harsh rays. The storage is out of this world though!

The Stow ’n Go Seating and Storage System includes fold-in-the-floor seats and in-floor storage bins. One quick motion folds, tumbles and stows the seats into the floor. Folding the second and the third rows gives you 143.8 cubic feet of storage. The Chrysler Town & Country comes with a class-exclusive super console, which features a large driver-accessible storage area and another large storage drawer accessible by both first- and second-row passengers.

The fun though, starts with the safety! Rear Cross Path Detection uses sensors to monitor for vehicles and objects crossing your path when you’re moving in reverse. The system alerts you with an icon in the exterior mirrors if a vehicle approaches from the left or right. Rain-Sensitive Wipers activate automatically when they detect moisture on the windshield. You don’t have to take your hands off the wheel to adjust the wiper controls as the rain level changes. The ParkSense Rear Park Assist System uses sensors that detect objects when your vehicle is moving in reverse at low speeds. The sensors determine relative distance, and readouts in the instrument cluster notify you of the proximity of the object.

The children need to have fun, too! Keep your passengers occupied with a standard dual-screen Blu-ray and DVD Entertainment System that includes second- and third-row viewing screens. Appreciate the designed-in sound of the Infinity nine-speaker system with subwoofer, standard on the Town & Country Limited. It delivers superb quality surround sound with an 11-channel amplifier and 506 watts of power.

The 2015 Muscle Car That Offers It All!!!

Are you going to be looking for a muscle car that offers it all in 2015?! Check this out! The 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat!! This will probably be my favorite muscle car available, not that I will ever be able to afford it! There are many things to look forward to! The supercharged 6.2L V8 Hellcat engine! To make this thing a little more powerful, SRT has removed the driver’s side parking lamp to install a Air Catcher cold-air intake, to help deliver “class-by-itself” torque!! Vroom, baby!

Choose between the 6-speed manual transmission or the 8-speed automatic! My vote is the 6-speed manual!! This Hell cat also spent 35% more time in the wind tunnel to achieve maximum aerodynamics!! Pretty impressive!

Equipped with some sweet looking 20″ Alloy wheels, the wheel wells had to be trimmed slightly to make room! The interior comes equipped with amazing features and top grade material! Luxury meets sport!

Finally, with 125 different potential configurations, you can make the Hell cat yours!! Get yours today!! You won’t regret it, that I CAN promise!!

Heres an overview!

The Redesigned 2015 Chrysler 200!!!

Hey everyone, its been a minute since I last wrote a blog but today I’m get right down to business! The 2015 Chrysler 200 has got to be my favorite mid-sized sedan on the market right now!  A HUGE upgrade from its previous 2014 counterpart, this 2015 model packs a huge punch when it comes to new features, looks and safety! Plus, it comes in AWD!!Model C

Only taking 119 feet to stop when traveling at 60 mph, the 200 is now among the best-stopping mid-size sedans! 10 airbags included driver and passenger knee airbags! Rear Park View Camera with rear cross path detection is available! Especially important since automobiles are still the top leader for child death in the US! Adaptive cruise control with the ability to come to a complete stop, forward collision with auto-braking and park assist ( both parallel and perpendicular) is great step forward for Chrysler’s 200!

Important technology is all in the Uconnect system! The easiest system to use and quickest to learn, this will come equipped with Uconnect Access! Start your car from your phone, lock it, voice-to-text, and more! Never take your eye off the road. Also, equipped with 3 USB ports, two 12V DC adapters, and so much hidden storage, you won’t have the wires all over your vehicle! New Interior

Chrysler uses some interesting design features to maximize space inside the 200. The merging of the center stack on the dashboard and the center console between the seats is more effective here than in other cars where this trick has been employed (think Lincoln MKZ) largely due to the functionality of the shifter and location of the electronic parking brake button, both of which are quite intuitive.

The unusual packaging also creates a “bridge” over the footwell area, which functions as usable storage. There’s a clever pass-through for a charging cord and the two-section center console offers more space than most.

Equipped optionally with the leather-trimmed/vented sport seat option ($995), which adds leather interior appointments, heated and ventilated front seats and a six-way power-adjustable passenger seat. A heated steering wheel is optional on all but the base trim.

Stop into Woody’s Automotive Group today! We have several and are ready for you to see them!

The Safety of Back Up Cameras!!

In April 2014 the NHTSA enacted the backup camera mandate. By 2054 when all vehicles will have backup cameras, it is estimated that 58+ lives will be saved every year. Some new vehicles have some very cool safety features. Let’s look at the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado as an example:

1. The rear vision camera system has dynamic guide lines to allow the driver, when in reverse, to view objects directly behind the vehicle.

2. The safety alert driver seat warns the driver of potential traffic danger using directional vibration pulses from the seat cushion.

3. Lane departure warning alerts the driver when the truck drifts over a lane line when traveling at least 35 MPH.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all vehicles came standard with these safety features? To see some of these features in person, just come in and any of the Woody’s Automotive Group sales team will gladly show you!

Just Raming Around!

Rain, rain, go away; Come again another day. Like tomorrow! Let’s face it. Rain can be a ton of fun, especially if it rains for a couple of days in a row! If you are following my thinking, you will end up with the conclusion of mudding! Who doesn’t love a little mudding? I have the perfect mudding vehicle for you! Actually, it’s useful for many things, but mudding is the main one! The 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn! Equipped with the stunning 5.7L V8 Hemi engine, and Class-Exclusive Active Four-Corner Air Suspension, this truck will power through the deepest and thickest mud around! Trust me! Come check it out at Wood’s Automotive Group today! Click here!

Keep Those Buns Comfortable!

I mean, if there is one thing worse than a long trip, it’s a long trip with an uncomfortable seat! I am sure at some point or another you know exactly what I’m talking about! You wiggle and wiggle only to get semi comfortable but ten minutes later you realize you are never going to get comfortable. It hits you. The seats are too hot or maybe they are too cold. They itch. Too stiff. It’s crazy, the list just keeps going and going and going. Like the energizer bunny. Annoying, right? Well, Jeep has found the solution! They have realized that customers, myself included (because I absolutely hate long trips with comfortable seating), need quality seats. In the new 2014 models, Jeep has equipped these majestical stallions with Natura Leather!

seat-natura-black
The newly available premium-quality Natura Plus leather is soft and supple and has outstanding breathability that makes the leather more comfortable in both hot and cold weather! Did I mention that its stain resistant, so those rascally kids won’t be a problem any longer.  Plus, this “lazy boy” of a seat can be heated and cooled, so even if you get hot or cold you can fixed it with the push of a button! Genius! You should really do yourself, I mean, butt, a favor and check it out! Woody’s Automotive Group has some! Just sayin’
